Hi
Just installed editvoicepack and updated as per instructions. Everything working as advertised. My question is about some of the replies or requests from controllers only giving the numeric identifier and the aircraft replying with both the airline call sign as well as the number. I was wondering if this is correctable by editvoicepack or is a quirk within the simulator. I’m using Prepar3D v4.2 with the latest version of voicepack.
Many thanks for your help
Kind regards
Alan
I can think of two reasons for this behavior:
- Modifications not defining the telephony designator for all 10 voices. All modifications supplied with EditVoicepack are OK, but if you created your own or imported some, it might be worth checking.
- Multiple files with voices available – for example one changed by EditVoicepack and one supplied by a different addon (it’s not a good idea to supply these with addons, but that has not stopped a few hopeful add-on developers assuming you would only run their addon).
Follow the steps here to ensure your Flight Simulator is “reset” to the default files, then run EditVoicepack again:
Restoring your flight simulators original ATC voice files – EditVoicepackAt least one addon (AIG AI Manager) will keep re-installing it’s own voicepack until you change the settings.
Sorry, I do not know. I do not use AIG AIM, I just learned about the conflict from other users of EditVoicepack.
Hi Lars
I do use AIG aim, what do I deselect to prevent it loading it’s own voice (oops) pack?
