Hi Lars,
As per subject title and as you already know, there is recorded dummy conversation heard between time ATC gaps.
This is a long time heritage since FS8 era and continues still today with P3Dv5.
So, I wonder if you could do something to eliminate it, as it is annoying especially during long flights.
Best regards
Sotiris Stavrakis
Of course I used FS ATC, why do you think I wrote EditVoicepack if I would not have used FS ATC?
There are many YouTube videos where full flights are done with FS ATC. Can you find one that includes this audio?
I just spend half an hour listening to various ones, and nothing – they sound the same way as ATC has always sounded to me. If this is a common problem, I would expect it to be easy to find it on YouTube videos – but maybe I am just unlucky, so please send me the name of the video and the timestamp if I missed something obvious.
Dear Lars,
The fact that this conversation is present in all flightsim versions including P3D, is undeniable. What we can do is to trace it somewhere in the Sound folders, maybe in USEnglish.gvp. I would do that myself, but I can’t decompile to explore it.
Now, as for the youtube videos, it’s something hard to find, as most of the video authors would surely edit and delete it.
On the other hand, it’s like searching for specific water-drop in the ocean.
The fact I have noticed it in all sims could mean that maybe a sound option is selected that adds this annoying thing, but which exactly ?
Also, not all simmers notice and moreover want to address a glitch. They just leave it, “it’s a game” they could say.
Yet, I say again that I did not add it by no means.
