Hi
I just updated to the current Version, as I saw it detects duplicate callsigns.
However I get some Warnings on custom made Callsigns, and I dond’t anderstand the meaning.
i.E. I did Pobeda, Air Peach, Lauda Motion and they are not included twice.
I can then select Use Identifier, Use Phrase, Ignore..
What exacetely does it mean?
Kind Regards
Patrick
Version 6.2 introduced a number of warnings, the duplicate callsigns being one of them.
You will have to read the error text and description to see what the potential problem is. From your question, I believe you are seeing the following warning text:
The phrase does not match the identifier.
Using the same identifier and phrase is a standard established by Microsoft when ATC was introduced in Flight Simulator. Keeping this convention makes it easier to manage modifications.
So the text in the Phrase field is not the same as the text in the Identifier field. While it will work without this being the case, it means your callsigns are done differently than all the callsigns included with both your flight simulator and EditVoicepack. I recommend you try to be consistent in naming as it makes it easier to manage which callsigns you have and which values should be used in the config files.
If you hover over the three options, you will see tooltips saying what will happen if you select the option.
Ignore will dim the warning icon – it will become gray and less visible – and the warning icon in the navigation tree on the left will disappear completely (as long as there are not other warnings in the group).
Use identifier will copy the identifier text into the phrase.
Use phrase will copy the phrase text into the identifier.
If you do not like the result of using one of the three options, you can use Undo (CTRL-Z or use the toolbar button) to revert the change that was made.
