After trying the new version 5.5.9.0 I removed it or at least tried to I also tried to use revo uninstaller. Then reinstalled 4.0.7.0 old version . I get this error when clicking the “File” drop down option. Something referring to 5.5.9.0 is still there. I have Windows 10 home.

Unfortunately there was a change to the .NET security model after the old 4.0.7 release that is causing this issue.
To work around it, please delete the folder:
C:\ProgramData\EditVoicepackX\Updater
C:\ProgramData is a hidden folder, so you might not see it. Simply type C:\ProgramData in the address bar of Windows Explorer to see it.
