I have AI from more than one source (utlive, AIG-AIM and more). EVP manages to find the missing callsigns (the ones not present in airlines.cfg) only for the models in the utlive folder. It seems oblivious to the other folders.
any suggestions?
Edit:
EVP 6.0.1 on p3d V4.5
Thanks, got the file and will look into it. No ETA yet. Just to clarify, the add-on.xml file you sent is this one, right? C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\add-ons.cfg
Correct!
only it’s add-on.cfg, not xml..
- Open your documents folder and navigate to the folder:
Prepar3D v4 Add-ons
- Open each subfolder (if you can identify the folders of the addins not being displayed in EditVoicepack, start with those).
- In each subfolder, try loading the file
add-on.xml
into internet explorer (not your default browser, please use Internet Explorer). You can do this by opening Internet Explorer, then drag the add-on.xml file into it. - If it displays an error, then EditVoicepack will not be able to load the file – and hence not find the aircrafts). Try correcting the error.
- In each subfolder, try loading the file
If you do not know how to correct the error – or none of the add-on.xml files show an error when loaded in internet explorer – please do the following:
- Start EditVoicepack
- Go to the advanced UI
- Wait for the missing telephony designators list to stop loading
- Close the advanced UI
- Click the Support option n the main menu
- Go to the last support option
- Click the upload button. This upload will take a while
- Send an email with the upload ID to support@editvoicepack.com
Did as suggested, however AIG-AIM doesn’t create its own subfolder inside the v4 addons folder.
Its add-on.xml resides outside the p3d core (on a different drive in my case) and is probably pointed at by an entry in addons.cfg
opening the add-on.xml for aigaim.oci in explorer does NOT return any errors
EditVoicepack only looks in the addon-xml files, so that would explain it. If you follow the last 8 steps to upload your files – and email your addons.cfg to me along with the upload ID, I’ll look into modifying EditVoicepack so it works both ways.
sent!
Unfortunately I can no longer email you as gmail identifies the messages as spam. If you have an alternative email I can use, please send it to support@editvoicepack.com
Please edit your question to specify what if you use P3D or FSX – there are some differences in how they work. I assume you use version 6.0.1 of EditVoicepack – if not, please edit the include the version as well. Due to holiday I might take a bit longer than usual to reply to questions, sorry.
