How do I keep a copy of my EditVoicepack data so I can restore it in case I loose data on my computer – or if I want to move EditVoicepack to a different computer?
If you create a custom modification (see the tutorial how you can do this) I recommend you create a separate backup using the File/Export menu option in the Advanced User Interface:
When importing it is possible to select multiple modifications at once as long as they are in the same directory.
If you want to keep a backup of all data, including your selection of modifications in the Advanced User Interface you can copy the EditVoicepack data file to a safe location.
To do this open a Windows Explorer window and copy paste the following into the address bar:
%PROGRAMDATA%\EditVoicepackX
then press enter to open the folder as shown here:
Select the file EditVoicepackData.xml.gzip and store it in a safe location.
To restore the data make sure EditVoicepack is closed, open the EditVoicepack data folder as shown above, then copy your backup data file in on top of the file already found in the folder.
If you can’t open the folder try running EditVoicepack once with an internet connection active. It will create the folder once updates have been downloaded.
